This renovation project reimagines a classic Californian bungalow, blending timeless character with the ease of contemporary living.

The transformation delivers a cohesive design that feels functional and effortlessly inviting. The entryway was opened up to create a more welcoming and spacious first impression, complemented by new timber flooring throughout the ground floor that unifies each space with natural warmth and flow.

The kitchen – once an outdated U-shaped layout – was reconfigured into a contemporary, open L-shaped design to elevate both style and function. Handcrafted cabinetry in soft grey tones sets a calm tone, while the centrepiece island bench with a generous stone top anchors the space for connection and gathering – whether it’s the simple rituals of morning coffees or larger gatherings for entertaining. The stone-clad rangehood, built-in wine fridge and butler’s pantry – leading through to the beautifully renovated laundry – introduce functionality, character, and design flair enhancing the final result.

The master bedroom was updated to incorporate a walk-in robe and ensuite – designed to feel both practical and elevated. 

The result is a beautifully reimagined home that feels both grounded in heritage and tailored for contemporary living.
