Canterbury Project

The family of six desperately needed more living space to accommodate all their leisure activities and most importantly include entertaining areas. An extension of a second story and a renovated space with easy flow throughout has been produced by completely re-building this weatherboard home. There is now a great transition from the front door to the open living area at the back, with natural lighting that pours in through carefully placed north facing windows.

Kitchen & Living Room

This Canterbury home remodelling has a new kitchen and living room. The kitchen has ample space for cooking with its L-shaped island, and plenty of cabinets to maximise storage. The kitchen is finished with sleek chrome features for a modern look. The cabinets are white and glossy allowing light to bounce off creating a well-lit working area.

The concertina doors allow plenty of natural light into the living space and creating a spacious environment. The room has a classic style of timbering flooring. The upstairs living room is in neutral tones for a classic modern finish, while the traditional fireplace acts as the focal point of the room.

Hallway

The hallway has a decorative front door, and are wide and kept clean with minimal furniture. The stairs are separate to give the home more structure. It has been furnished with a desk and couch making for a comfortable study or working space for the whole family.

Bathroom

The bathroom bench top is a warm tone of chocolate brown, enhanced by light shades of beige colours. The glossy ceramic bathroom sink in a moulded distinct design, gives the bathroom a contemporary appearance. It is a minimalistic bathroom with drawers and a frameless mirror.

Children’s Room

This child’s room is painted white, and fit with white furniture and pink accessories. The three sky lights allow for plenty of natural light into the room creating a bright space to relax.

Backyard Extension

The backyard has a large enclosed pool extension with ocean blue pool tiles. The veranda is darkly polished and levelled with the ground floor. It is partly enclosed by white rails to match the house color. The freshly laid lawn with pavers enhances the look of the outdoor area.
