The 8 Step Revised Extension Design
and Quoting Procedure

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed several challenges to businesses worldwide. Here at Period Extensions, we are no exception.

With our customer’s health and safety being our number one priority, we would like to notify our customers of the approach that our company will be following during this difficult time.

As the pandemic forces us to readjust our normal procedures in compliance with the necessary precautions and measures for COVID-19, our revised process is as follows:

1. Consultation Following your initial phone or email contact with our office, a designer from our team will reach out to you to discuss your extension and renovation requirements. This consultation will be conducted via phone or video call.
2. Measurement We will organise to measure your property and obtain the dimensions of your existing home. This will be carried out with strict adherence to the COVID-19 regulations set out by the government.
3. Drafting, Design and Costing After the existing conditions of your home have been drafted and an initial design developed, our drafting team will produce concept plans, which will subsequently be costed by our estimator.
4. Design presentation Our designer will contact you via video consultation to discuss the design and may also present you with a 3D visualisation of your design. At this stage, you may discuss any amendments that you may require. You may be required to sign a copyright agreement as part of this process.
5. Preliminary Agreement When the design and costs have been agreed, a Preliminary Agreement is signed, and an initial payment made in order to obtain structural engineering, soil test, energy report and working drawings.
6. Building Contract After the building contract is signed and deposit paid , we can proceed towards obtaining the building permit and other associated permits.
7. Construction Construction will commence once the permits are obtained. Building works will be managed by a highly qualified Site Supervisor and a dedicated team of professional tradesmen.
8. Completion Your project will be completed to the highest standard, on time and on budget.
